Do you have a tool to diminish broken capillaries on the face ( side of nose)? from Elizabeth 24. February 2015

Thanks for your question!  Capillaries on the sides of the nose are a common complaint and can be an annoyance when present.  Luckily, there are now many different ways to treat this problem, which include lasers and things as easy as topical medications.  We’d be happy to take a look and discuss the best treatment regimen for you!

I have had an itchy irritation on bothe sides of my neck and now have red spots developing on my torso, arms and back 22. January 2015

Itchy rashes are very bothersome!  One common cause of an itchy rash, especially during the winter, is dry skin.  It is important to keep the skin hydrated with thick moisturizing creams.  More importantly, there are many different causes of rashes that range from inflammatory conditions (like eczema) to superficial infections (like ringworm).  The best way to figure out what is causing your particular rash and to get you started on a treatment plan is to make an appointment for an evaluation with one of our board certified dermatologists.  Give our Knoxville office a call today….865-450-9361.

Do you see patients with questions regarding a rashes? I have one that has been on my lower leg for about 3 years now. No one seems to know what it is. If started small and has continued to enlarge over time. 22. January 2015

Yes!  We see patients of all ages and with all types of skin conditions.  Rashes can often be tricky to diagnose and to treat, so it’s not uncommon for us to hear that someone else may have not been able to figure out the cause of your rash.  We take the time to ask you a thorough history and perform a complete exam and necessary tests to get down to the cause of the rash.  Make an appointment with one of our board certified dermatologists to get evaluated soon!

Do you / can you conduct consultations online when visiting your offices (out of state) isn’t an option? 22. January 2015

Thanks for posting a great question!  Many patients have asked this before.  Dermatology is a very visual field…that’s what we love about it!  But, at Anderson and Rahman Dermatology, we feel it is best to be seen in person to evaluate a skin condition.  We often have questions that go along with the look and feel of the skin condition.  It’s very difficult to perform a complete evaluation without having you present!  We hope that you’ll make a trip to Knoxville soon for an appointment!
